RONNIE TAYLOR

This site  The Web

"Most comedy scriptwriters work in pairs ... the star is my co-writer."

Since his first radio script in 1938, Ronnie has been showing us the 'funny side of life' working with Al Read, Harry Worth, Cilla Black, Val Doonican, David Jason on hundreds of tv variety series, specials and situation comedies.

In packed filing cabinets, Ronnie left a lifetime of scripts, ideas, formats and tapes which chronicle the Golden Age of UK TV and Radio.  From the Northern comics of the 1950's to the glossy tv specials of the 1970's, Ronnie discovered and nurtured talent.

Here is his legacy.
